Motivating Monday

It's Monday and ironically it has recently become my favorite days of the week. I used to hate it in high school because it meant waking up at 5 a.m. for early morning seminary (an early scripture study class for high school students provided by my church). Now I loved seminary, I just hated waking up so early.

However, now my whole outlook has changed (well, not having to wake up so early helps ; ). After being  spiritually fed on Sunday, I find I have a new gained energy and motivation to start the week and accomplish many great and small things.

One of those great and small things being exercising Every Monday I wake up determined to exercise 5 times a week. And you know what motivates during the week to keep exercising? the right movie. You know those movies where the heroine or hero is working their butt off? The ones that make you feel super lazy and so out of shape...
Here are some of my favorites:

Basically the movies that make me want to go out and run and doing something incredibly athletic-like run a marathon.

Sometimes seeing someone else in super amazing shape is just the ticket for me.

What motivates you?



  1. I love having a good movie to watch while I'm exercising. Lately I've caught Steel Magnolias, Fried Green Tomatoes and Billy Madison on tv. It's helped my workout go by much faster. Also, cute workout clothes help motivate me to get out there =)

  2. Uh... Baby Fat on my belly has been the latest and greatest motivating factor.

  3. The other night at bunco one of the prizes was 'she's the man'--made me think of you.
