Unfortunately I didn't take many pics of what I did, but I can try to tell you.
1. I basically sewed the arms closed, following the side seams of the shirt.
2. I then cut off the neck and added a band I made out of another shirt (you could also use that thick elastic stuff). Maybe if I do it again I'll take pictures and provide a better tutorial.
And seriously, most comfy skirt ever!
because I can't take a serious picture |
yes, this is a little kids recliner. yes I do fit. |
bonus points-I can jump in it! |
Super cute...wish I could pull off skirts like that. Oh, I tried on a skirt at Old Navy today that I just know would look so much better on you. Floral with a banded waist. Go try it on!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute!
ReplyDeleteI love how cute it is and casual!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great job! My most recent post is a clothes upycle too! Saw you on linky party and now gfc following you, would love it if you popped by my blog, Karima :) www.karimascrafts.com
ReplyDeleteSuper cute! I love stripes!
ReplyDeleteWow! It doesn't look as though the shirt would be long enough to refashion into a skirt. The skirt looks super and you did a great job.
ReplyDeleteI love stripes too, but like you said, they make you look...you know. I think with the stripes running diagonally, they are actually slimming! Not that you are...you know. (Not at all!! :-) ) Very cute and clever upcycle! :-)
