If you know me you know this project was very hard for me to do. But it was my boyfriends birthday (he loves all things minion) and I thought it was time for me to step outside of my comfort zone. I wish I would had someone recording me while making it, I could have easily become a YouTube sensation. There were quite a few really dramatic moments. But alas I survived and the cake turned out perfect. 

So for my pep talk today. Do something new. Step outside your comfort zone. While I hated making this cake and the stress that it caused me, it was worth it when I saw the look on my boyfriends face when he saw it. Okay, I'm done. 

I found the tutorial here, from Betty Crocker. It was actually quite easy despite my dramatic moments. The only difference is I accidentally bought cookie frosting for the blue section and it didn't set as well so we had to put it in the freezer. But it still tasted really good and wasn't a huge problem. Also I couldn't find the black licorice so we just went with a bald minion.
