You may have seen my Crochet Christmas Wreath Ornaments a couple years. Well this year, my 10 year old daughter changed it up a bit by adding a scallop. She had been a pinterest and came across Delia Creates large Scallop Christmas Wreath and figured out how to make an ornament size crocheted Christmas wreath. It turned out so cute, especially with the bow on it. So, this pattern that I'm sharing with you today is my daughters creation and instructions.

These are very easy to make and crochet up very fast. I love the scallops on the wreath so much. We did end up making a video with her narrating the instructions, so if would prefer a visual make sure you check out the video below

Step 1:

Make a slip knot.  Leave a long tail so you can use it to hang your ornament. Wrap your yarn under your wood ring. Pull the string up and through the loop of your slip knot and do slip stitch. A slip stitch goes straight through your loop. Now, your yarn is on the other side. You want to keep wrapping your yarn around and pulling through your loops, back and forth until you make it all the way around. Go through the last loop and do a slip stitch to connect the round.

Step 2:

Now you're going to chain 3  (You can Chaining  will create a slightly bigger scallop, so this is a personal preference. Try both and see what you like.
After you chain 3, skip a loop and slip stitch crochet into loop after. Then chain 3 again. Repeat pattern until you make it back around.

Step 3
Slip stitch to finish you round and tie your end string and beginning string together. Tie a bow into the bottom of wreath. And youre done!
