Fossil Ice Rocks

For my church, I helped plan our 4th of July activity, and because it was so hot we had many water activities to keep everyone cool.
One of the activities we had for the kids, was ice rocks with toys frozen on the inside. And let me tell you, it was a huge hit. The kids loved digging for the toys, but most just liked dropping them over and over again on the sidewalk.

Here's the tutorial:

Sponge Bombs: a tutorial

I am planning a Water Birthday Party for my soon to be 8 year old. Where we live it is super super hot. At the same time I am not sure I can handle 7-8 8 year olds running through my house. So we decided on a water party. For one of our activities we decided on a water balloon toss but I really hate the idea of filling up a million water balloons and then all those pieces of balloon all over my yard. I was searching through Pinterest one day and found Sponge Bombs. They are awesome! You can use them over and over and they were super easy to make. Because I was making so many I thought I would put together a simple tutorial for you all...enjoy!

The Gypsy Quilt

Quilt #3 finished finally!!! I have had the fabric for this one for a long time. I love love love how it turned out. I am thinking I will call this one the "Gypsy" Yay for finishing this one just in time for the baby to come...although this one is NOT for the baby. This one is yet another for the quilt basket, you know, for cuddling under, building forts, etc. This one might also look good at the bottom of my bed...

I used the tutorial found here. I just realized I used the same fabric she did...I must have liked the tutorial a lot.
